Welcome!
I'm Erin Fickert-Rowland, and I would love to share my art with you!
My Story
I’m an 80s kid who grew up on Saturday morning cartoons, MTV, and comic books; and I create art inspired by animation and comics for people who love pop culture. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art Painting and have studied a wide variety of art-making over the last 20+ years. I work in both traditional and digital mediums including ink, watercolor, gouache, colored pencil, marker, Clip Studio Paint, and Photoshop. My art influences are the fine art painting movements of Cubism, Modernism, Expressionism, and Pop Art. I am also an enthusiastic fan of Japanese anime from the 1980s to the present and the works of Japanese mangaka and Indie comic artists.
I am passionately dedicated to the study of art, the value of handmade craftsmanship, and sharing the journey of creative work with others. Throughout my career, I have worked with galleries, publishers, charitable organizations, artist organizations, resort destinations, music venues, and individual collectors. My current work is an original collection of fan artwork illustrations which I exhibit in Artist Alley at select Anime and Comic Conventions around the United States. I enjoy connecting with other anime/manga fans, art collectors, and industry professionals at conventions and look forward to continuing to grow my art skillset and professional connections while I am working as an independent artist.
